Bullets & Bandages a three-day course will teach participants how they can administer first aid while under fire in a real world situation.

Tactical Handgun II: Basics

To become a certified firearms instructor, you must first learn the fundamentals of handgun firing. Fundamentals of Tactical Handgun is the first course. It teaches fundamentals of concealment and shooting through a hands-on approach using simulated ammunition. This course contains power point instruction, target practice and video clips to reinforce basic gun skills. The Fundamentals course is over. You can now enroll in Tactical Mindset.


Tactical Pistol Fundamentals offers a two day course in firearm safety and fundamentals. It includes other schools of thought and focuses on self-defense and shooting skills. It also teaches students how to manipulate weapons in a confined space. The course will also help students become confident with their weapons and how to maintain them in the case of a violent encounter.

Target ID class

The Target ID class provides a comprehensive handgun defensive training program. It teaches students the skills they need to be able to respond in self-defense situations. This class emphasizes proper target identification, situational awareness and threat quantification. This course is ideal for beginner shooters. It helps them feel confident and ready to respond in an emergency. However, there are certain prerequisites. You must be physically fit, have a handgun and a duty belt in order to enroll in the class. Your gun, five magazines, 50 rounds, and a practice tourniquet are also required.

The course covers the operation of the weapon systems, sighting and zeroing properly, manipulation of weapon system and shooting from various body positions. The instructor will also show you how to shoot through glass or at angles of less than 1 meter. You will also learn how to use a flashlight, and how to keep a safe distance. Advanced Tactics course

The Advanced handgun defense training course, developed by Anthony M. Barrera, M.D., and instructed by John S. Farnam, is a comprehensive overview of several less-lethal tools. Instructors will cover verbal defense commands, physical defense techniques, and platforms. Students will learn to use multiple defense instruments, including the gun. Each skill will be practiced several times.

HITS #1 focuses on stress-movement handgun drills. Students will be tested on how well they can maintain the gun and perform quick repairs. Students will learn how to safely use their hands to draw concealed guns from a duty belt. To participate in this course, students should be in reasonable physical shape and familiar with their duty belt and holster. Students are allowed to bring an AR rifle or handgun to the class.
